Orbital surgery is an integral part of skull base surgery. This speciality deals with a region where several specialists namely neurosurgery, ENT and ophthalmology, join forces to tackle these pathologies. There is also renewed interest in the area due to several recent descriptions of techniques that make the surgery minimally invasive or with advances in using the orbit as an access point to several intra cranial pathologies.
